Lindsay Sanderholm begins her 10th year as head coach of the Tigerettes. She was named to Who's Who of America's Teachers and was chosen as one of the nation's top dance directors by Dance Spirit Magazine. Her biography is featured in "Who's Who of U.S. Dance Directors" in the Dance Directors Survival Guide Magazine. Sanderholm has more than 15 years of dance experience, and was a two-time NCA All-American dancer. She graduated from Wellington High School and then moved on to Cowley. While at Cowley, Sanderholm was involved in many activities. She was a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society, was a Student Ambassador, was a cast member in the musical "Grease," and was a member of the Danceline for two years. She served as Tigerette captain her sophomore year under Lana Sleeper. After graduating from Cowley, Sanderholm received a Bachelor of Integrated Studies degree from Emporia State University. Sanderholm has led the Tigerettes to two top ten finishes at the NCA/NDA Collegiate Nationals in Florida. The team has also placed first in various competitions for the past five years. In 2007, the Tigerettes captured first place in the college variety division at the COA Open Nationals in Texas! Sanderholm created the Tigerette Alumni Directory on the Cowley web site. She also organized the Tigerette 20th Anniversary Reunion. Sanderholm also serves as assistant director for the Cowley Wellness Center. Amy Mitchel, 27 from Derby, is no stranger to Cowley College. She attended Cowley on a dance line scholarship from 1998 to 2000. In those two years she was a member of the Nationals team that competed in Daytona Beach Florida. Amy was a Derby Pantherette for three years during high school and was also a member of a competitive dance company. She has choreographed at the regional and national level for which she has received recognition. Currently, Amy is a phlebotomist with Via Christi Health Systems. She is also proud to have her younger sister (Lindsay Mitchel) follow in her footsteps as a current Cowley Tigerette. Amy is enjoying her time back at Cowley assisting Coach Lindsay with the danceline and hopes to continue assisting Coach Lindsay in the future.
