
Johnny Rembert was
an All-American football player at Cowley in 1980, and went on to star
at Clemson University and play for the New England Patriots of the
National Football League from 1983-92. Rembert was selected to play
in NFL’s Pro Bowl in 1989
and 1990. He played for the Patriots in the 1986 Super Bowl against the
Chicago Bears. At Cowley, he was a first-team All-Jayhawk Conference
selection and All-Region VI. At Clemson, he earned All-American honors
in 1981. At the time of his induction, Rembert was vice president of
the NFL Retired Players Association. He makes annual appearances as a
guest speaker for the Boy Scouts of America, conducts summer camps as
a counselor for young boys, and serves as a football camp counselor for
youth.
