Elder will probably split time this spring between third base and designated hitter for the Lady Tigers as she did during fall ball. She will be counted on to provide power to the Cowley lineup as she did this fall with two doubles, three triples and a home run. Hitting the ball hard consistently will help assure Mandy of a spot in the starting lineup. As a senior at Yukon High School she was named All-Metro League third baseman and finished her 2004 summer season with a seventh place finish at ASA Nationals as a member of the Oklahoma Jitterbugs.
