Akers was the top hitter in Topeka her junior and senior seasons batting .455 and .450, respectively, while hitting three home runs as a senior.  She was named 1st team All-City Topeka outfield her junior and senior years and also 1st team All-Centennial League her junior and senior seasons.  Bri was the starting leftfielder during fall ball and will probably do the same this spring while hitting in the five-hole.
