Foust thrived at her role last year as backup catcher/occasional starting catcher. She batted .380, good for fifth on the team, scored 13 runs, had five doubles and two home runs, and accounted for 20 RBI’s in only 50 at bats. Her .475 on base percentage led the team and her .600 slugging percentage was fourth. This year, Foust will play a more prominent role if her hitting is comparable to last year. She does a good job defensively and works hard at calling a good game for the pitchers.
