As a senior at Perry High School Smith batted .378 with 13 RBI’s, 43 runs scored and 30 stolen bases. She was named to the I-1 All-District team her junior and senior seasons at Perry. She is a solid defensive player who will see most of her playing time at second base and third base. She played third base for her summer team, the Oklahoma Lightning, and shortstop in high school. Smith is a solid contact hitter and will provide some gap power with her swing.
