CHEERLEADING TRYOUT SESSIONS

Cowley County Community College is having 2008 - 2009 Cheerleading try-outs on Saturday, March 1st at 5pm. It will be held at the Advanced Cheer All-Starz building at 1501 S. M, Arkansas City, KS 67005. If there are conflicts with this date, we can reschedule a private try-out at just about any time. If you have any questions, please contact me by phone or e-mail.

Try-outs will consist of the following:

• cheer from home (we are looking at your cheer technique, voice and crowd appeal)
• short dance (can be a sideline or a couple of 8 counts-bring your music-we are looking at your facials and dance motion technique)
• 3 jumps-your choice (we are looking at jump technique, height and execution)
• We want to see your best tumbling skills-even if we need to spot you!!

We will do the stunting part after the try-outs with the other cheerleaders-basing and flying

(Please don’t stress if you are inexperienced, we just want to see what you can do)

If you have a 2.5 GPA or better you are eligible for a full books and tuition scholarship. If you have a 3.5 or better you may receive an extra $500.00.
