The No. 3-ranked Cowley College volleyball team rallied to win the District M Tournament played in Chanute and qualified for the NJCAA Division II National Tournament for the third straight season.

Lilian Rezende

Sophomore outside hitter Lilian Rezende was named the Jayhawk East Most Valuable Player, while freshman outside hitter Lucia Cizmarova was named the conference’s Freshman of the Year.

Moving from No. 12 to No. 3 in the latest NJCAA Division II volleyball rankings, the Cowley College Lady Tigers justified the huge jump in the poll by defeating No. 14-ranked Coffeyville 30-16, 30-23, 28-30, 40-38 Wednesday, September 12th at W.S. Scott Auditorium.
