Cheer and dance teams named Region champions

Competing in the Region IV Conference Championship Sunday, March 10 at Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina, KS, the Cowley College cheer and dance teams were each named Region champions.
The Cowley dance team was named Region champions in the Team Dance Division and placed second in the Jazz Division. The Tiger cheer team received the highest team score of the entire competition and were named Region champions in the Large Coed Division.
Both teams will travel to Las Vegas, Nevada in April to compete in the DTU College Classic National Invitational. The teams are led by head coach Lindsay Sanderholm and assistant coach Chelsi Turner.
