Cheer team captures third straight Region title

On March 8, the Cowley College Cheer and Dance Teams competed in the Region VI Cheer & Dance Championship. Both teams worked very hard during the spring semester to put together and perfect their competition routines.
Cowley's Tank the Tiger mascot also performed as special entertainment during the event. The Tigerette Dance Team placed second in the Collegiate Pom Division, while the Cheer Team won the Collegiate Small Coed Cheer Division. This is the third straight Region title for the Cheer Team, which also received the highest overall team score of the entire competition. Cowley scored higher than all teams in the large coed, small coed, and all-girl divisions. The teams are coached by Lindsay Sanderholm and Chelsi Turner.
Tigerette Dance Team: Katie Arnold, Kayla Billington, Chloe Bringer, Brianna Cates, Macy Catlin, Teresa Engelbrecht, Avery Foust, Payton Foust, Jesse Hernandez, Allison Pinion, and Kiera Rader.
Cheer Team: Arthur Anderson III, Ivy Ashford, Lydia Ashford, Valerie Ast, Cheyenna Bercaw, Angela Bojorquez, Hadley Botts, Andrew Burgos, Brian Cox, Taylor Dice, Madeline Floerchinger, Kailyn Greenhagen, Jadon Jenkins, McKia Lemon, Alexandra Malone, Abigail Nicholson, Autumn Nottingham, Nic Reyes, Jarod Thompson, Samantha Vargas, Kayla Wampler, Ashlee Ware, and Bella Warne.
