Cowley Spirit Squad shines at The College Classic with national titles and top finishes

Leading the way, the Tigerette Dance Team earned the title of national champions in Team Performance and secured a runner-up finish in Hip Hop. Their performances highlighted months of precision, artistry, and relentless work in the studio, proving why they are among the nation's elite.

The Cowley Large Co-ed Cheer Team also made a powerful statement on the national stage, finishing as national runner-up. Their routine demonstrated elite-level stunting, synchronization, and energy, reflecting the grit and determination the team has built throughout the season.

Adding to the success, Tank the Tiger brought home a national championship in the Mascot Division. Tank's performance combined creativity, athleticism, and crowd engagement, elevating the Cowley brand and setting a high standard for mascot excellence.

The success at The College Classic is the result of a demanding and continuous season that runs from June through April. Members of the Spirit Squad balance rigorous practice schedules with supporting Cowley's athletic programs, performing at games, and representing the college in the community, all while preparing for national competition.

"This group has put in an incredible amount of work all year long," said Cowley head cheer and dance coach Holli Gurnee. "From early mornings to late nights, they've stayed committed to each other and to representing Cowley the right way. I couldn't be more proud of how they performed and the way they carried themselves on the national stage."

Beyond the trophies and titles, the weekend was a testament to the Spirit Squad's unity, resilience, and passion. Each team member played a role in building a culture centered on accountability, excellence, and pride in wearing the orange and black.

With national recognition across cheer, dance, and mascot divisions, Cowley College continues to solidify its reputation as a powerhouse in collegiate spirit programs.
