Tigers hit the century mark in a 36-point home win over Dodge City

Cowley, winners of five games in a row, improves to 8-1 overall and 3-0 in the Jayhawk Conference. Dodge City falls to 4-5 and 1-2 in the conference.
Leading 22-14 midway through the first half, Cowley used a 15-0 run to lead 37-14.
The Tigers would make 6-of-7 three-point attempts and shoot 61.3 percent from the floor while building a commanding 54-29 halftime lead.
The Conquistadors scored the first eight points of the second half to pull within 54-37, but that would be as close as they would get the remainder of the game.
However, the suspense was not gone from the game as in the final minute, Xavier Alexander hit the Tigers; 10th three-pointer, awarding each fan in attendance a free cheeseburger from the Ark City McDonald's. Moments later, Teagan Charles drained a jumper to give Cowley 100 points.
Sophomore Avante Nichols had several big dunks on his way to a game-high 24 points on 8-of-10 shooting from the floor. Marcus Whitlock added 20 points and seven rebounds on 8-of-11 shooting.
Mynor Strong led Dodge City with 16 points.
The Tigers will play at defending national champion Barton Community College on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The Cougars are ranked No. 1 in the NJCAA Division I with a record of 8-0 overall and 3-0 in the Jayhawk Conference.
"They have another really good team. It will take our absolute best to have a chance to win," Cowley head coach Donnie Jackson said.
