On Friday, Cowley picked up a pair of run-rule victories by scores of 9-1 over Pratt and 10-2 against Northern Oklahoma College-Enid. Then, on Saturday, the Lady Tigers slipped past Western Oklahoma State College 6-5 before losing 6-3 to Rose State College.
"We had a lot of positives over the weekend," Cowley head coach Jenny Hoyt said. We had two run-rule victories and a come-from-behind win."
In the win over Pratt, sophomore pitcher Ezra Arredondo played a big role in the victory as she went 4-for-4 with two doubles and two runs batted in while also allowing only four hits and one run in six innings pitched.
Raelynn Sandlin also played well while going 3-for-3 with a double and two runs scored, and Paige Scanlin added two hits and a pair of runs batted in.
Pratt's Blair Shipman allowed six runs in four-plus innings and took the loss.
Trailing NOC-Enid 2-0, the Lady Tigers went on to score four runs in the fourth inning and six more in the fifth to run-rule the Jets 10-2.

Arkansas City native Taverli Tennant led the way offensively by going 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and four runs batted in. Alissa Nuno and Bre Curry added two hits apiece.
"Taverli was solid on the defensive side and was huge in the comeback win versus Western Oklahoma," Hoyt said. "Offensively, we had a strong tourney. I was pleased with how we executed on the offensive side."
The tournament's final game saw Cowley fall to Rose State College by a score of 6-3 as sophomore Alissa Nuno (0-1) suffered her first loss of the season. Nuno allowed eight hits and six runs in four innings pitched.
"We ran into a Rose State squad who brought a short game on us, and I don't think we executed like we needed to," Hoyt said.

Rose State's Keylee Beckwith allowed only two hits and an unearned run while earning the victory in relief of Rose Perez, who went the first three innings on the mound.
