Six Lady Tigers to continue basketball careers at four-year schools
Having helped the Cowley College women’s basketball team win 21 games during the 2024-25 season, six Lady Tiger sophomores have signed letters of intent to continue their basketball careers at four-year schools.
First Team all-conference performers Elysa Martinez and Hattie Pyle previously announced their decisions to attend the University of Central Missouri and Missouri Southern University, respectively.
Martinez, a sophomore transfer from Howard College, averaged a team-high 17.3 points with 4.2 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 4.0 steals per game, while Pyle averaged 11 points and 5.7 rebounds per contest.
Jaiden Smith (11.2 points, 4.0 rebounds), an honorable mention all-conference selection, signed with NCAA Division II Arkansas Tech, while Jamie Molina (11.5 points) and Georgia Knight (5.5 points) also signed with DII schools.
Molina plans to play basketball and softball at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, and Knight signed with Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire. Saint Anselm was coached by former Cowley College women's basketball coach DeAnn Craft from 2009 to 2013
Keturah Stewart (4.0 points) rounded out the signings by signing with NCAA Division III Salisbury University in Maryland.
"We are thrilled for all of our players to find new homes," Cowley head coach Todd Clark said. "It is a tribute to their individual ability to compete and find opportunities for themselves. I am beyond excited for each of them. I feel they all can contribute to those programs."
