MMA fighter Kyle Driscoll visits the Tiger wrestling team
Professional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter Kyle Driscoll stopped by the Linda Adams Hargrove Athletic Center on Tuesday to share his insight with members of the Cowley College wrestling team.
Driscoll is renowned for his rigorous training regimen and commitment to optimal nutrition. His transition into MMA came after a successful college wrestling career where he was a two-time Oklahoma state champ, 49-0 in his junior season, and a senior national champion.
"Having someone of his caliber here to share his advice with our athletes was amazing," Cowley head wrestling coach Justice Circle said. "It was neat to see our athletes get a chance to visit with him and for Kyle to take time out of his busy schedule."
He spent time training in MMA in San Jose, California, for AKA under the legend Daniel Cormier. Some notable names he trained with at AKA are Khabib Nurmagomedov, Daniel Cormier, Cain Velasquez, Luke Rockhold, Kyle Crutchmer, Nick Piccininni, Islam Makhachev, and many more.
Driscoll has a professional MMA record of 15-4 with six knockouts. He is also a personal trainer as well as a nutritional coach.
