Southeastern Oklahoma State snaps Lady Tigers' eight-match win streak
Finishing its out-of-conference schedule, the No. 2-ranked Cowley College women’s tennis team had its eight-match win streak come to an end with a 4-3 loss at NCAA Division II Southeastern Oklahoma State University on Tuesday in Durant, OK.
Cowley won two of three doubles matches to earn the doubles point. However, the Savage Storm won four of six singles matches to come away with the 4-3 win.
The Lady Tigers got wins from their No. 1 doubles team of Cynthia Wanjala and Nathanielle Lee and their No. 3 doubles tandem of Chiho Takada and Lisa Takamura. Cowley's other wins came from Takada at No. 3 singles and Lee at No. 6 singles.
Cowley will return home to face No. 13-ranked Pratt Community College on Thursday, April 2, at 1 pm. at the Ark City High School Tennis Courts.
