With the wind blowing out on Thursday in Arkansas City, the Cowley College baseball team dropped the first game of a doubleheader against Fort Scott by a score of 8-7 and then trailed game two, 10-1, before rallying for a 16-13 victory.
Helping the Cowley College men’s basketball team achieve 20-plus wins and a chance for more, the Tigers had three players named to the Kansas Jayhawk Community College All-Conference list.
Cowley College freshman Aniyah Burney and sophomore Mallory Jackson were recognized for their solid play by being named All-Jayhawk Conference selections.
Trailing by as many as 10 points in the first half, the No. 6-seed Cowley College men’s basketball team put on the clamps defensively and advanced to the District Plains Tournament Semifinals with a 76-69 win at No. 3-seed Dodge City on Tuesday.
