Coach’s Comments: "Laura is an outstanding player with great athleticism, court awareness, court vision and timing to run a variety of sets and score with her accurate attack She is a strong and aggressive middle who puts up a solid block and can attack opponents with a variety of sets with speed and power. Her experience and adjustment to the college game from her freshman season will be invaluable to our program during her sophomore season."
2024 (Freshman): Played in 14 sets... recorded 12 kills at 0.86 kills per set, a .133 hitting percentage and 4 blocks
Before Cowley: Prepped at Liceo scientifico L. Mascheroni in Bergamo, Italy. She began playing volleyball for Volley Excelsior Bergamo in 2011 at the age of seven. She played for the club until 2014 when she then began to play for Foppapedretti Bergamo for their U12 and U13 teams. In 2016, she began to play for Pallavolo Celadina for their U13 and U14 teams. During her time with the program, she served as a setter. Santagngeletta moved to her final club team in 2018, when she played for Valpala Volley for their U16, U18, Serie D, Serie C, and Serie B2 teams. As a member of the program, she made the switch from setter to middle hitter where she excelled even more on the court. In 2021, her U18 team finished third place and finished in the Provincial semi-final. The team also finished fourth place in Serie D. In 2022, her Serie C team went 22-2 and finished in the Scudetto semi-final and was promoted to Serie B2.

News mentions
After back-to-back national championships, the No. 6-seed Cowley College volleyball team had its string of titles come to an end with a fourth-place finish at the NJCAA Division II National Championships in Cedar Rapids, IA.
In a rematch of last year’s national championship contest, the No. 1-ranked Cowley College volleyball team flexed its muscle with a 26-24, 25-23, 25-19 win at No. 5-ranked Johnson County on Wednesday in Overland Park, KS.
Entering the program’s 50th season, high expectations are in store for the Cowley College volleyball program. The team is coming off a very successful 2024 season that resulted in back-to-back undefeated NJCAA National Tournament National Championships, a Plains District Championship, a 41-0 overall record with a 10-0 conference record, and continued the longest consecutive win streak at 81 consecutive matches won.
